Firefighter/EMT Bradley Alan Donahue
Community Fire Company of Rising Sun
Active over the last 12 years in his local Boy Scout Troop 143, Brad held the positions of Den Chief, Patrol Leader, Troop Guide, Order of the Arrow Representative, Senior Patrol Leader, and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster. As part of his Eagle Scout program, Brad completed a construction of a gazebo at the Yokefellow Center, a local educational center. Through the scout program, he also donated numerous volunteer hours to assisting with American Red Cross and Cecil County Disaster training.
Brad joined the Community Fire Company of Rising Sun as a cadet at the age of 15, and was made a full member when he turned 16. While attending Cecil County School of Technology during his junior year of high school, Brad completed numerous Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute courses, and is certified as a Firefighter 2 and Emergency Medical Technician-Basic.

Lt. Alan L. Jarmon

Ocean City Fire Department
Alan Jarmon is Emergency Dispatcher with the Worcester County Emergency Services and a Lieutenant in the Ocean City Fire Department: Volunteer Division. A ten year member of the Ocean City Fire Department, Alan first joined the Cadet Corps in the spring on 2001 and graduated from Stephen Decatur High School in June of 2001. Alan continued his service to the department by joining as an active firefighter in the Ocean City Fire Department in November of 2001.
In 2005 after Hurricane Katrina struck the gulf coast of the United States, Alan boarded a plane out of Martins Air National Guard base with several other members of the Ocean City Fire Department to assist the state of Maryland in its efforts to set up medical clinics in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. Alan and the other members of the team received a Maryland Governor’s Citation for their service during “Operation Lifeline”.
In 2006, Alan was appointed as a Correctional Officer with the Wicomico County Department of Corrections. He was awarded several letters of commendation for his efforts in stopping illegal contraband from entering the facility. Alan accepted the position of Emergency Dispatcher with the Worcester County Emergency Services in 2008, where he is currently employed.
Alan is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Fire Science and a minor of Emergency Management at the University of Maryland University College and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant with the Ocean City Fire Department: Volunteer Division in May of 2011.
When not at work Alan enjoys spending time with his family and friends and participating in many outdoor activities.

Firefighter/EMT John H. “JB” Bunting III
Ocean City Fire Department
John Bunting, or “JB” as his friends and family have come to know him, is a native of Ocean City. He joined the ranks of the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company as a Cadet at the age of 14. While a member of the Cadet program, JB served as one of two Cadet Lieutenants, and the President of the program. At the age of 18, he was brought into the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company as a firefighter and has since completed the training necessary to serve the company as a Fire Apparatus Driver / Operator. JB serves on the John Paul Adkins II Scholarship committee, the Boat Committee, is the Senior Instructor of the Cadet Program, and is a 2002 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, for actions taken during a surf rescue.
JB graduated from Stephen Decatur High School in 2001, and was listed in “Who’s Who Among American High School Students.” In 2005, JB was hired by the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office as a Fire Safety Inspector, where his interest in, and knowledge of the Fire Inspection and Code Enforcement aspect of the Fire Service was developed. In 2007, JB left the Fire Marshal’s Office to take a position as a municipal police officer in his home state of Maryland. He attended the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy in Salisbury, and has since received several awards, both from Worcester County, and MADD Maryland, that reflect both his motivation and dedication to public safety. JB is currently a senior at the University of Maryland University College, majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Fire Science.
In his time away from work, JB enjoys spending time with his wife, his family, and friends.

Firefighter Moe Cropper
Ocean City Fire Department
A native to the Ocean City area, Moe Cropper is a third-generation volunteer firefighter in Ocean City. Joining the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company Cadet program at age 14, Moe quickly rose thorough the ranks to Cadet Lieutenant. Moe joined the department as an active firefighter in 2008.
During his senior year at Stephen Decatur High School, Moe completed a year-long internship with the Ocean City Fire Marshals Office, which helped to pique his interest in his fire inspection and investigation, which he hopes to do as a career. Moe is currently attending Keiser College, majoring in general studies/fire science.

Deputy Fire Marshal/Captain Josh Bunting III
Ocean City Fire Department
Josh Bunting is a Deputy Fire Marshal with the Fire Marshal/Bomb Squad Division of the Ocean City Fire Department. As a third-generation Ocean City Firefighter, Josh grew up with a passion for public service from both parents. After high school, Josh attended Salisbury University, where he graduated with honors, with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. During his final year at Salisbury, Josh was hired into an entry-level position with the Ocean City Fire Marshals Office, where he currently holds a position of Deputy Fire Marshal II/Bomb Technician. Josh continued his education, receiving a second bachelor’s degree in Fire Science in 2006 from University of Maryland University College, and graduated at the top of his class in 2007 from the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy as an Ocean City Police Officer.
Josh has been a member of the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company since age 14, and currently serves as an operations Captain and past-Vice President of the Volunteer Corporation. Josh has received the F. Michael Sacca Membership Award, the Alfred E. Harmon Training Award, and the Heroism Award for his work and actions in the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company.

Lieutenant Trevor Steedman

Trevor Steedman is a 23 year veteran of the Fire Service and the proud Owner of Strike The Box Training, LLC. Trevor is a Career Lieutenant with the Ocean City (MD) Fire Department where he is the A-Shift Commander and heads the Special Operations section for the department. He has served as a Career officer since 1999 and has developed many of the Special Operations Teams and Training programs, including the Dive Rescue Unit, HEAT Team, SCBA Recertification program, a State recognized Fire Training Academy, Recruit testing , the Office of Training, Health, & Safety, and a variety of internal programs and drills. He also served as a volunteer firefighter, holding a variety of administrative, committee, and operational positions including several years as an Assistant Chief. Trevor has had the privilege of traveling to departments in the Mid-Atlantic region, the Mid West, and Baltimore City to instruct, consult, or speak. He was deployed as a Team Leader (Operation Lifeline) during Hurricane Katrina and served at the request of a neighboring State on their Incident Management Team in the wake of a LODD. Trevor is a founding member and current President of the Ocean City FOOLS (Alpha Chapter) and strongly believes in the traditions, training, and brotherhood of the Fire Service. He says that many great people have mentored and taught him during his fire service career. Therefore, he feels that it is his obligation as a firefighter and instructor to share the knowledge that was passed along to him with his brother and sister firefighters.

Lieutenant Sam Villani, III
Montgomery County, Maryland Fire and Rescue Service
Sam Villani, III is a Lieutenant with the Montgomery County, Maryland Fire and Rescue Service. Sam started his life in the fire service as the son and grandson of firefighters in the Ocean City, Maryland Volunteer Fire Company where he still is an Honorary member.
Sam volunteered in fire departments in Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties while attending college. He attended Montgomery College, The University of Maryland, and Trinity College, stopping midway through graduate school in 1999 to take a career opportunity with Montgomery County. Sam received the Silver Medal for rescuing a 4-month old baby from a basement fire in Kensington in 2001, is a communications specialist with FEMA/ DHS USAR Maryland Task Force 1 and with the National Capitol Region Radio Cache, and is a Maryland Level II Instructor with the Montgomery County Public Safety Training Academy.
When not at the fire house or the training academy, you can find him performing with the Montgomery County, Maryland Fire Fighters Pipes and Drums, where he serves as a bagpiper and Vice President of the band. Sam also founded The Don’t Panic Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to helping public safety professionals who are critically injured while off duty.
